I started having grilled salmon only recently, Mostly, it is the fishy taste that used to turn me off. This recipe does not taste fishy at all and if you are new to salmon like myself, I suggest you try it.

Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets, skin on

  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger

  • 3 garlic cloves mashed

  • 1/2 lemon squeezed

  • A pinch of chili powder

  • A pinch of paprika

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven at 200 degrees.

  2. Mix the soy, honey, ginger, garlic, lemon, and spices to make the sauce.

  3. Cover the base of a deep rectangular oven dish with the sauce. You can use a pyrex.

  4. Place the salmon fillets skin up in the oven dish and let them marinade in the fridge for at least 15 minutes.

  5. Turn the salmon over so the skin is down and place them in the oven for 15 minutes . Turn them over and cook for another 10 minutes. Remove the skin from the fillets and continue to cook for another five minutes.

  6. I like to serve the salmon with a vegetable loaded quinoa. The vegetables I use are mushrooms, sweet peppers and onions.
