1 tsp baking soda

1/2 cup chopped fresh coriander

1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley

1 cup boiled skinless fava beans (you can use frozen peeled fava beans, but boil them first)

4 garlic cloves mashed
-
1 medium onion minced
-
1/4 tsp mixed spices (I use cinnamon, pimento, a pinch of black pepper and nutmeg)

Salt to taste
Directions:
-
Preheat the over to 220 degrees.
-
Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend very well until you get a soft dough like mixture.
-
Place the mixture in the fridge for a couple of hours for it to harden a little.
-
Divide and shape the mixture into small balls, Don't flatten them too much, only a little.
-
Grease the bottom of a baking tray with some olive oil and line it with the falafel balls. Lightly brush the top of the falafel with some additional olive oil.
-
Place in the oven until they become crispy on both sides.
